Preparation Method :

  • Soak mung beans in water for 1 hour.
  • Change the water and boil for 20 minutes or until cooked. Strain and keep aside.
  • Heat the oil in the saucepan and crack the mustard seeds.
  • Add dry chilli, onions, curry leaves and green chilli. Saute for 2minutes.
  • Add cooked beans, coconut and salt.
  • Mix everything well together. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.


  • 300 grams mung beans
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 dried red chilli
  • 2 tablespoon curry leaves
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 100 grams fresh coconut, grated
  • Salt to taste
