CHENA WARATHATHU (YAM CRISP WAFERS)

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Keep a skillet with oil over medium flame. Fry the yam slices in batches until crisp. Lift and drain on to a strainer.
  • Sprinkle chilli, pepper and asafetida powder with the salt, shake well and keep it in an airtight container.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Yam, Slice into small, thin squares, rinsed, soaked and drained.
  • Chilli powder, to taste
  • A pinch of Asafetida powder 
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
