DAL STUFFED POORI

Serves :

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Add all the Ingredients of the filling in a bowl ans keep it aside.
  • Add all the ingredients to the atta and mix well.
  • Add oil, knead the flour into a soft dough using warm water and keep it aside for about 20 minutes.
  • Divide dough into small balls and roll out the balls into small rounds.
  • Put a portion of prepared stuffing in the centre, fold the dough to cover, reshape into a ball and roll out into a poori.
  • Heat oil, drop the rolled pooris gently into it.
  • Press the sides of the pooris with a frying spoon and turn. Fry till golden brown on both the sides. Drain on brown paper.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams atta
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking oil for frying

Filling 

  • 2 tablespoon split black lentils, soaked and coarsely
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • ¼ red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

    Quite innovative recipe. We can also make it in another manner. Like for e.g Take the left over dal and prepare dough by mixing it instead of regular amount of water. Cooked delicious paranthas ( Bread) from it using oil. :)
