Preparation Method :

  • Add the mashed dhal with flours and the remaining ingredients expect ghee.
  • Mix thoroughly, adding enough water and knead into soft pliable dough. Cover the dough with a light cloth and keep aside for about 10-20 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions, shape into balls, dust with wholewheat flour, cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Flatten each ball to a round disc, place inside a moderately hot tandoor and bake for about 3-5 minutes. Repeat till all are done. Serve hot.


  • 100 grams green gram, husked, cooked, mashed
  • 50 grams Ghee
  • 100 grams bengal gram, cooked and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 25 grams wholewheat flour
  • ΒΌ teaspoon Turmeric powder  
  • 2 tablespoon refined flour
  • 50 grams onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4 Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh green coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste
