CHICKEN AND PRAWN BALTI

Serves :

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium heat.
  • Add the onions and garlic and cook until golden brown - about 10 minutes.
  • Add the chicken, chillies, spice mix and turmeric and stir fry for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the prawns, green pepper and water.
  • Simmer gently for 15 minutes until the chicken is cooked and the pepper is just tender.
  • Serve, sprinkled with garam masala and coriander.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams chicken, cut into cubes
  • 250 grams peeled prawns
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 fresh green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Balti spice mix
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 small green pepper, deseeded and finely sliced
  • Pinch of Balti garam masala
  • Fresh coriander, chopped
