Preparation Method :

  • Heat the mustard oil in a large frying pan set for about a minute or until it begins to smoke.
  • Add the vegetable oil and simmer to low flame.
  • Add the onion and the garlic, fry until they are golden.
  • Add in all ingredients except the bell pepper, broad beans and chicken to the frying pan. Stir the mixture until fragrant.
  • Add in the red bell pepper and broad beans and stir for about 3-5 minutes or until the bell pepper is softened.
  • Stir in the chicken and adjust seasoning with salt to taste. Simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes or until the beans are tender.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve.


  • 550 grams cooked chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 150 grams frozen broad beans
  • 150 grams tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 100 grams onion, chopped finely
  • 1 teaspoon mustard oil
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 50 grams red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, ground
  • ½ teaspoon coriander seeds, ground
  • Chilli powder and salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • Fresh coriander sprigs, to garnish
