MINT CHICKEN GRAVY

Serves :

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Wash the chicken and marinate with the marinate ingredients for half an hour.
  • Grind the masala ingredients to a fine paste.
  • Cook the marinated chicken with 1 tomato, 5 shallots, and cumin seeds.
  • In a pan, add 3 tablespoon Idhayam sesame oil, curry leaves, 10 shallots, 1 tomato and saute them in a low flame.
  • Add grounded masala paste, chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  • Saute till the raw smell goes off in the masala and then add cooked chicken.
  • Mix well till the masala blends with the chicken.
  • Finally add butter and serve.

INGREDIENTS

For Marination

  • 500 grams Chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Curd

Masala for Grinding:

  • 100 grams Mint leaves
  • 50 grams Coriander leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • ¾ teaspoon Black Sesame
  • ¼ inch Ginger
  • 2 big cloves Garlic  
  • 2 tablespoon Grated coconut
  • ½ teaspoon Kuskus
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds

For Gravy:

  • 15 Shallots
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 10 Curry leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • Idhayam sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • Salt to taste
