Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry the onion for about 2 - 3 minutes over a medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger with chillies and fry for 2 more minutes.
  • Add the minced lamb and stir-fry briskly over a high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the cumin, coriander, chilli powder and salt with measured water. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Add in the peas and lemon juice. Cook, uncovered for about 8 - 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander and chilli powder, serve with naan and natural yogurt.


  • 750 grams minced lamb
  • 150 grams frozen peas, thawed 
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, grated 
  • 3 fresh green chillies, finely chopped 
  • 1½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • Salt, to taste 
  • Naan and plain yogurt, to serve
