SPICY PRAWN CURRY

Serves :

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil. Add chilli paste or powder and haldi.
  • Add ¾ cup coconut milk. Boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add salt and sugar. Add the rest of the coconut milk. Boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add prawns and tomatoes. Cook for 5 minutes till prawns are cooked and the gravy becomes thick.
  • Finally stir in lemon juice and Garnish with chopped chillies and coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams prawns - shelled with tails intact 
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 350 grams coconut milk 
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tomatoes - each cut into 8 pieces
  • 2 tablespoon, Lemon Juice 

Garnish

  • 2 green or red chillies - chopped 
  • Some green coriander leaves
