Preparation Method :

  • Clean the chicken, and add the turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
  • Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a wok and add fennel, cumin, curry leaves and dried red chillies.
  • Once they crackle, add the chopped onions and garlic cloves and sauté till they turn deep golden brown.
  • Add the chicken and required water to cook by covered, on medium flame for few minutes.
  •  Let the chicken cook till tender and oil starts separates.
  • Keep stirring the chicken on high heat for few more minutes to become sukka.
  • Serve with onion Raita.


  • 1 kg of Chicken cut into small pieces
  • 10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 200 grams Chopped Shallots
  • 5 Dried Red Chillies
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • A teaspoon of Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Cumin Powder
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 4 tablespoonIDHAYAM sesame Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Peppercorns (Optional)
  • Salt to taste
