NAWAB-A-MURG KORMA

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Add the oil and the ground masala paste in a Microwave safe bowl & microwave it on high for 6 minutes. Stirring after every 2 minutes. Till Masala turns brown lightly.
  • Add the tomatoes, garlic, ginger and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Stirring once after 3 minutes.
  • Add the chicken pieces, the fried onion paste, 1 cup of water, salt and microwave on high for 10 minutes. Stirring once after 5 minutes.
  • Add the cream, saffron and microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring once after 5 mints.
  • Add the cream, saffron and microwave on high for another 2 mints.
  • Serve hot with parathas or rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium sized Chicken (1.2 kgs) cut into 8 pieces
  • 300 grams onions, sliced & fried till brown & ground into a paste
  • 100 grams tomatoes, blanched & chopped
  • 2 tablespoon garlic & ginger
  • 4 tablespoon fresh cream
  • 2 pinches saffron dissolved in ½ cup water
  • 3 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

To be ground to a smooth paste:

  • 6 dry red chilli
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seed
  • 8 almonds
  • 6 cashew nuts
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 small cinnamons
  • 3 cardamoms
  • 50 ml water
