RED CHICKEN

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Clean the chicken and put it in a thick bottom kadai / pan.
  • Dry roast dhania and jeera, powder it.
  • Make ginger garlic paste.
  • Add to chicken dhania, jeera powder, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, curd, lemon juice.
  • Mix all the ingredients with chicken. Add food colour. (If Needed)
  • Marinate for an hour.
  • Keep the vessel on the flame and close it till chicken becomes tenderly cooked.
  • When it becomes dry, slower the flame.
  • Now take small pan, heat the oil.
  • When oil becomes hot put curry leaves, fry it till the leaves becomes crisp.
  • Add this to chicken and close it.
  • Top the fried curry leaves on the chicken and Serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams boneless chicken pieces
  • 10 pods of garlic
  • ¼ inch ginger
  • ½ teaspoon dhania (dried coriander seeds)
  • ½ teaspoon jeera
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 big spoon curd
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons of IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 2 strands curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Orange food colour

    Very yummy! All our guests enjoyed this chicken. My daughter who doesn't like chicken too enjoyed this preparation.
