Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a medium heavy pan. Add the garlic and cook gently for 2-3 minutes.
  • Peel the Prawns, Lower the heat and add the chopped tomatoes to the pan.
  • Then add the crushed red chilies, lemon juice, salt, mango chutney and fresh green chili, stir gently to mix and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the peeled prawns, increase the heat and stir fry until heated through.
  • Transfer the prawns to a serving dish. Garnished with fresh coriander sprigs and whole prawns in the shell, to each portion.


  • 20 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • 24 cooked king prawns
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon mango chutney
  • 1 fresh green chili, chopped
  • Fresh coriander sprigs, to garnish
