CHILI PANEER WITH PEPPERS

Preparation Method :

  • Mix maida, cornflour, pepper and salt. Add enough water, to make a batter of a thick pouring consistency.
  • Dip paneer in the batter and deep fry to a golden brown colour. Keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil. Fry the green chilies and garlic for a few seconds.
  • Add onion and stir for a minute.
  • Reduce heat. Add soya sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup and vinegar. Stir.
  • Add salt, pepper and ajinomoto with capsicums. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the fried paneer and coriander. Mix well. Remove from heat. Serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams paneer - cut into cubes
  • 1½ tablespoon cornflour
  • 1½ tablespoon maida (plain flour)
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 green pepper - cut into ¾" pieces
  • 1 red or yellow pepper - cut into ¾" cubes
  • 1 small onion - cut into 4 pieces and separated
  • 3 teaspoons soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • ½ tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 chilies - chopped finely
  • 4 flakes crushed garlic - optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander - chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon each of ajinomoto  
  • ½ teaspoon each of salt and pepper
