PANEER HARA PYAAZ

Preparation Method :

  • Heat 4 tablespoons oil in a heavy pan. Add garlic, saute for 1 minute on low flame. Add the white of onions and stir fry till light brown.
  • Add turmeric with tomato puree and chopped tomatoes. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, till they turn almost dry.
  • Add tomato ketchup. Stir to mix well.
  • Reduce heat. Then add in crushed cloves, coriander powder, salt, red chili powder and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes on low heat.
  • Add the paneer, green of onions and chopped green chilies with water. Cook for about 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Keeping the heat low, add cream or milk. Mix. Remove from fire and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams paneer - cut into small pieces 
  • 200 grams spring onions - cut white bulb into rings and cut greens diagonally into pieces, keep greens separate 
  • 1 green chili - deseeded & chopped
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 6 flakes garlic - crushed 
  • 2 tomatoes - finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup 
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder 
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder,
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala 
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cloves - crushed roughly
  • 75 ml fresh cream or milk
