Preparation Method :

  • Heat butter in a wok or pan, add garlic and stir.
  • Add the spinach and cook till all the moisture of the spinach evaporates. Remove from heat.
  • Meanwhile grate the paneer in a bowl, add basil or coriander and grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Add the cooked spinach to the paneer and mix well with salt and pepper.
  • Toast the slices and spread the mixture on the toasts. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle some red chili flakes too.
  • Grill in the oven (210°C) for about 2 minutes and serve hot.


  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices brown or white bread
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (5-6 flakes) - crushed and chopped
  • 100 grams leaves of paalak (spinach) - washed and shredded
  • 150 grams paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1 tablespoon basil or coriander - chopped
  • 75 grams mozzarella cheese - grated, leave 1 tablespoon cheese for topping
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Red chili flakes
