Preparation Method :

  • Grind together dhania, fennel, ginger, garlic, lemon juice and salt to a fine paste.
  • Slit the paneer pieces and keep aside.
  • Divide the chutney into 2 parts.
  • With one part of the chutney, stuff the slits of all the paneer pieces. Keep it aside.
  • Mix together the left over chutney, gram flour, salt and oil. Rub this all over the stuffed paneer pieces.
  • Brush with oil generously over the grill of the oven or wire rack of a gas tandoor. Place paneer on the greased wire rack or grill of the oven.
  • Heat an oven to 180°C or a gas tandoor on moderate flame. Grill paneer for about 20 minutes.
  • Brush with oil on the paneer pieces and grill further for 5 minutes. Serve hot.


  • 450 grams paneer - cut into square pieces
  • 60 grams besan (gram flour)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 75 ml Cooking oil


  • 200 grams fresh green coriander
  • 2 teaspoon fennel
  • 6 flakes garlic
  • 1" piece ginger
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
