Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. When the spices crackle, add the asafoetida, turmeric powder and green chillies, and saute for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the sugar, lime juice and salt, and cook till the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and leave to cool completely.
  • Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator for 3 days.



  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil

  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 250 grams green chillies, cut into pieces
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
