Preparation Method :

  • Chop mangoes with seeds. (Extremely sour mangoes give the best results) Powder mustard seeds.
  • Powder stone salt .
  • Wash the cut mangoes well and dry them with a muslin cloth.
  • Mix all the three powders together. For mangoes, add 400 grams of the powder. Hold both sides of the vessel and toss the mangoes until blended well.
  • Add the methi along with it.
  • The next day, pour the oil over the pickle. Keep it closed.
  • The gravy will form in a couple of days.


  • 25 medium-sized Mangoes 
  • 400 grams of Mustard seeds 
  • 400 grams of Chilly powder 
  • 400 grams of Stone salt 
  • 1 litre Gingely Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Methi seeds
