Preparation Method :

  • Add the roasted cumin powder, mint leaves, salt and pepper with the yogurt. Set aside.
  • Gently squeeze out any water from the cucumber and separate the grated strands into a serving bowl.
  • Add the tomatoes and fold in the yogurt mixture.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of chilli and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with any spicy meal.


  • 350 ml natural yogurt, whisked
  • ¼ cucumber, peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 2-3 cherry tomatoes, finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, dry roasted, coarsely ground
  • A pinch of chilli powder
