OKRA RAITA

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry the okra till golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on absorbent paper.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, powdered fennel seeds, asafoetida, green chillies, and fresh green coriander to whisked yogurt. Transfer to serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle the okra mixture over the yogurt and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams yogurt, whisked
  • 150 grams okra, washed and sliced thin
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder, coarsely ground
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds, roasted and powdered
  • A small pinch of asafoetida
  • 3 green chillies, chopped
  • A few sprigs of fresh green coriander, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
