Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle salt over the chopped cucumber, allow to stand for 15 minutes. Rinse cucumber under cold water; drain well.
  • Place seeds in small saucepan, stir over low heat until well browned.
  • Combine half the cucumber with seeds, onion, yogurt and lemon juice in medium bowl, stir well.
  • Transfer into a serving bowl, Top with remaining cucumber and extra seeds.


  • 300 grams green cucumbers, peeled, seeded, finely chopped
  • 250 grams plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
