RED PUMPKIN BAJJI

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the gram flour, chilli powder, salt, coriander leaves, and asafoetida. Add water to it, mixing it constantly, to make it into a batter of dropping consistency.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan. Drop Chopped Red Pumpkin one at a time in the batter, check that batter is applied properly on both the sides. Drop them in the oil one by one.
  • Deep fry till golden brown in colour on a medium flame.
  • Serve hot with Green chutney.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams Gram flour
  • 250 grams Red Pumpkin, Chopped in to long pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder  
  • Handful finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Asafoetida  
  • Salt to taste
  • 100 ml water 
  • Sesame oil to fry
