Preparation Method :

  • Mix both flours with little water to make a thick paste.
  • Chop onions into long thin slices and add to the batter.
  • Heat oil, add a ladle of it to the batter, and mix well.
  • Now take small amounts in your hand and deep fry until golden in colour.
  • Place paper napkins in the vessel so that the oil is well absorbed by them.
  • Serve hot with white coconut chutney.


For batter

  • 500 grams of chana dal flour
  • 300 grams of Rice flour 
  • 4 teaspoon Chilly powder 
  • 2 teaspoon Asafoetida powder 
  • Soda bicarbonate a pinch
  • Salt to taste
