Preparation Method :

  • Fry the onions, ginger and garlic gently until golden, add the spices for 1 minute and then add the mince. Cook the mince till fully cooked. Drain and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
  • Make a small balls out of the mashed potato.
  • Fill the mince mixture in the centre of each mashed potato balls. Shape it like a chops.
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Roll the potato balls in the beaten egg and dip in the breadcrumbs.
  • Deep Fry the balls until golden brown colour.


  • 500 grams Potatoes, peeled, boiled, mashed
  • 250 grams lean lamb mince
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 inch root ginger
  • 250 grams Breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil for frying
