Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Mix rava/semolina and maida with enough water to a thick consistency and allow it to stand for half an hour.
  • Now, add sugar and mashed banana to the batter and mix well. The sugar melts and the batter becomes smooth.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan and spoon the batter into it.
  • When the paniyaram bubbles on the top of the oil, pour the next spoon of batter. You can fry five to six at a time.
  • Turn it once and the right time to take it out of the oil is when the paniyaram is crispy at the edges and soft at the centre.
  • Drain on kitchen towel and serve.

  • 200 grams rava / semolina
  • 200 grams maida
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed to a fine paste
  • 300 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil for deep frying
