Preparation Method :

  • Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
  • Add urad dal and allow it to turn golden brown.
  • Add red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Add onions and sauté till onions turn soft.
  • Add green peas and salt and mix well.
  • Remove the pan from heat and transfer to serving bowls.
  • Sprinkle mango and coconut on top and serve.


  • 200 grams Green peas, boiled
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds      
  • 1 teaspoon Split urad dal       
  • 3 dried red chillies, broken    
  • A pinch Asafoetida    
  • 8-10 Curry leaves                   
  • 1 small Onion, chopped         
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 grams raw mango, chopped   
  • 50 grams coconut, grated
