Preparation Method :

  • Soak rice in water for an hour.
  • Soak urad and methi in water separately.
  • Grind both separately and add together as in previous recipe.
  • Follow same method as for plain dosa. This dosa is generally prepared thick.
  • The flavour of methi dosa is different.
  • Serve with brinjal chutney or onion chutney.


  • 1 kg Parboiled rice
  • 300 grams Urad dal
  • 4 tablespoons Methi
  • Salt to taste
