Preparation Method :

  • Roast theblack pepper, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fenugreek, raw rice, red chilli, channa dhal, urad dhal, Mustard , garlic and curry leaves.
  • Grind the above mixture with tamarind paste, asafoetida and salt to a fine paste by adding water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, once its splutter, add grounded paste and turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Keep the stove in low flame and let it boil for few minutes.
  • Serve hot with white rice.


  • 4 tablespoon Black Pepper    
  • 2 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds  
  • 50 grams Fresh Coriander leaves
  • 8 Garlic                 
  • 1 teaspoon Urad dhal          
  • 1 teaspoon Channa dhal     
  • 2 Red chilli            
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds 
  • 5 tablespoon sesame oil        
  • 1 tablespoon raw rice               
  • Salt to taste
  • 1½ tablespoon Tamarind paste    
  • 2 teaspoon Turmeric powder  
  • 1½ teaspoon Asafoetida powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds
