Preparation Method :

  • Chop green chillies finely.                                    
  • Grate coconut.                    
  • Chop ginger and onions finely.
  • Chop bread into medium small square pieces.
  • Heat a tablespoon of ghee and splutter the mustard seeds.
  • Add the hing, green chillies, ginger and onions. Fry until the onions are light golden in colour and than add the rava.
  • Roast it for a minute and remove from fire. Keep aside.
  • Roast the chopped bread in a little ghee until they are crispy and golden.
  • Boil a 200 ml of water in a pan. Add salt, curry leaves and the half prepared rava mixture and grated coconut.
  • Stir well and make sure that no lumps are formed. Add the garam masala and stir well again.
  • Now add the prepared crispy bread with it and mix well.
  • Serve hot as a tiffin.


  • 300 grams Rava
  • 8 slices Bread
  • 8 Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 200 grams Onions
  • 100 grams Coconut
  • 1 teaspoon Hing powder
  • 100 grams Curry leaves
  • 100 gram Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
