UPPUMAVU

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the ghee in a deep pan, fry and remove the cashews.
  • Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and the minced ingredients; fry tender.
  • Add the semolina, fry over low flame for a few minutes, till well dried out.
  • Off the flame and pour in the salted boiling water. Return to flame, stir lightly.
  • Bring together, cover and cook for five minutes.
  • Serve hot garnished with the fried cashews.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Semolina            
  • 2 Onions, minced
  • 4 Green chillies, minced       
  • A small piece Ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoon Mustard seeds   
  • 1 Sprig Curry leaves              
  • 3 tablespoon Ghee               
  • A few Cashews                     
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
