Preparation Method :

  • Add the roughly chopped onion with the cumin and coriander, sesame seeds, chilli powder, garlic, turmeric and salt into a food processor and process to a rough paste.
  • In a wok or large pan, heat the oil over a medium heat and fry the spice paste for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the tomato with the blanched French beans, fresh fenugreek and chopped coriander.
  • Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes, sprinkle in the lemon juice and serve.


  • 250 grams French (green) beans, blanched
  • 1 bunch fresh fenugreek leaves, stems discarded
  • 1 onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 tomato, quartered
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1½ teaspoon chilli powder 
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1½ teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander 
  • Salt, to taste 
  • 50 grams chopped fresh coriander
