Preparation Method :

  • Mix together gram flour, yogurt, water and turmeric powder thoroughly; strain.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt, bring the mixture to the boil stirring constantly. Cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Add finely diced, boiled mixed vegetables.
  • The Tempering: Heat the ghee in a small pan; add all the ingredients except the red chilli paste. Saute for about half a minute. Add the red chilli paste; simmer for few seconds.
  • Mix this with the gram flour mixture. Serve hot with steamed rice.


  • 225 grams boiled finely diced, mixed vegetables
  • 225 grams yogurt, sour
  • 200 ml Water
  • 5 teaspoon Gram flour  
  • Salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder

The Tempering

  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • A pinch Asafoetida  
  • 2-3 Bay leaves  
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds  
  • 3-5 Dried red chillies  
  • ½ teaspoon Red chilli paste
