PATTA GOBHI AUR MATAR MASALA

Preparation Method :

  • Wash and shred the cabbage finely.
  • Heat oil in a wok or pan. Simmer to low flame and add cumin seeds, sauté till it turns golden.
  • Add onions and stir fry for 2 minutes or until transparent.
  • Then add in ginger and turmeric with tomatoes, salt, chilli powder, garam masala, amchur and coriander powder. Stir fry till onions turn light brown.
  • Finally add peas, cabbage and green chillies, Stir fry , cover and cook until they turn soft.
  • Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams small cabbage - shredded 
  • 200 grams shelled peas - fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 onions - chopped 
  • 1" piece ginger - cut into thin match sticks 
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 tomatoes - chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon amchur 
  • 1 teaspoon corinader powder
  • 2 green chillies
