Preparation Method :

  • Melt the fat in a pan and fry the cumin seeds and dried chilies until it splutter .
  • Add the onion and fry for 2 minutes. Add the cabbage and carrots and stir-fry until the cabbage is soft.
  • Finally, stir in the salt and sprinkle the lemon juice and serve at once.


  • 250 grams cabbage, shredded
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 50 grams ghee or butter
  • ½ teaspoon white cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice 
  • 7 dried red chillies, to taste
  • 1 small onion, sliced 
  • Salt to taste
