Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan; add the onion and garlic, sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until soft.
  • Add the cabbage, green chilli, adjust seasoning with salt. Mix well. Cover with a deep metal lid.
  • Pour some water on the lid and cook the cabbage in its own juices for about 10-12 minutes or until soft, but not mushy.
  • Add the coconut and mix well. Serve hot.


  • 500 grams Cabbage, finely shredded
  • 50 grams Onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 25 grams Coconut, grated
  • 2- 3 cloves Garlic, minced  
  • 1 Green chilli, minced
  • Salt, to taste
