Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter in a pan and glaze the dried red chillies in it, remove and reserve.
  • Add the onions in the same butter when hot. Stir continuously till the onions are translucent.
  • Add the mushrooms and salt. Stir-fry over high heat for about 3-5 minutes or till the moisture evaporates. Then add the green chillies and dried red chillies.
  • Garnish with ginger and Serve hot.


  • 500 grams Button mushrooms, large, Washed, pat dried. Trim the stalks, do not cut or slice
  • 4 teaspoon Butter
  • 3 Dried red chillies, wiped clean with moist cloth
  • 250 grams Onions, medium-sized, finely sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 Green chillies, deseeded, slit lengthwise
  • 2" piece Ginger, scraped, washed, cut into strips
