Preparation Method :

  • Par-boil the potatoes in a large pan of boiling water for about 10 - 12 minutes. Drain the potatoes and set them aside.
  • Heat the oil in a wok or large pan over a medium heat and fry the cumin seeds until they begin to splutter. Add the fresh green chilli and fry for 1 more minute.
  • Add the cauliflower florets to the pan and fry for 3 - 5 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes, spices with salt and cook for further 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with tomato and onion Salad.


  • 500 grams cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 500 grams potatoes, peeled and washed potatoes, Cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 fresh green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chopped fresh coriander, to garnish
  • Tomato and Onion Salad, to serve
