SUKHE MATAR ALOO

Preparation Time :

Preparation Method :

  • Boil potatoes in salted water until just tender. Peel and cut into pieces.
  • Heat oil. Reduce heat. Add sesame seeds and jeera.
  • Add onions. Cook until onions turn light brown.
  • Add kaju. Stir-fry for a minute. Add kishmish.
  • Add salt, haldi, garam masala, red chili powder and amchoor. Mix well.
  • Add green chilies and fresh coriander. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoon water.
  • Add the potatoes. Stir-fry gently for about 3 minutes on low heat.
  • Finally, add peas. Mix gently. Cook for 2 minutes stirring occasionally. Add lemon juice and mix well. Remove from fire. Serve hot. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 small sized potatoes
  • 100 grams boiled peas
  • 1½ tablespoon sesame seeds
  • ¾ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 1 large onion - chopped very finely
  • 4-5 cashews - split into halves
  • 10-15 kishmish - soaked in water
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon haldi
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon amchoor
  • 2-3 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 2-3 green chilies - whole
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
