Preparation Method :

  • Add a quarter 200 ml of water to both the flours and mix them together into a thick batter.
  • Add the chili powder, salt and hing to it.
  • Chop coriander leaves very finely and add to the batter.
  • Chop cauliflower into medium-sized flowerets, wash in warm water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Dip the cauliflower in the batter and deep fry until golden orange in color.
  • Serve hot as a snack or with a main course meal.


  • 600 grams of cauliflower
  • 150 grams of chana dal flour
  • 50 grams of Rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon hing powder
  • 100 grams of Coriander leaves
  • IDHAYAM Sesame oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
