Preparation Method :

  • Chop the vegetable into medium small square pieces.
  • Pressure-cook the yam in salt water for a whistle. Keep aside.
  • Roast the mustard seeds, add the curry leaves and the vegetable to it.
  • Stir well before adding the chilly powder, and asafoetida powder. Stir roast for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice.


  • 800 grams of yam
  • 1 teaspoon chilly Powder
  • 2 teaspoon asafoetida
  • A few curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 4 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
