Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a shallow pan over a medium heat and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to sizzle, add the courgettes and green pepper and fry for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Simmer to low flame and pour in the yogurt mixture. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes. Remove from the heat and drizzle with the lemon juice.
  • Combine a pinch of black pepper with the chilli powder and generously sprinkle over the dish.
  • Serve with rice and chutney.


  • 350 grams courgettes, Cut in half lengthways, then into slices
  • 1 small green pepper, cut into half, deseeded and then cut into thin slices
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice

Yogurt Mixture

  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons natural yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powde
