Preparation Method :

  • Chop banana with skin and pressure-cook for a whistle. Remove skin, crumble and keep aside.
  • Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter; roast urad dal and keep aside. Now roast asafoetida, chana dal and thoor dal and coarsely grind with salt. Add steamed banana and mix well. 
  • Serve with hot rice.


  • 4 Raw banana 
  • 6 Red chillies 
  • 4 tablespoons chana dal 
  • 2 teaspoon thoor dal 
  • 6 tablespoon asafoetida 
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 
  • 1 teaspoon broken urad dal 
  • 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
