Preparation Method :

  • Peel and cut the bananas into round slices.
  • In a bowl, add Bananas, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger paste and mix well.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a kadai. Add a pinch of fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves and onion and sauté.
  • Add banana mixture, remaining masala and tomato and mix well.
  • Add 100 ml water and tamarind paste and mix gently.
  • Reduce heat, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot.


  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato, finely chopped         
  • 2 Raw bananas 
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder   
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder     
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Ginger paste   
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander-cumin powder    
  • A pinch Fenugreek seeds
  • A pinch Fennel seeds
  • 20 Curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Tamarind pulp
  • 5 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame Oil       
  • Salt to taste
