Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a non-stick saucepan and fry the carom seeds for 10-20 seconds.
  • Turn the heat down and stir in the chilli, mango and coriander powders, and the salt.
  • Add the colocasia wedges, stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes. The wedges should be coated in the spices.
  • Garnish with the fresh coriander, adjust the seasoning and serve hot.


  • 500 grams, colocasia, cleaned, washed, cooked, skin scraped off and quarter into wedges
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon carom seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried mango powder
  • Red chilli powder and salt, to taste
  • 25 grams chopped fresh coriander
