Preparation Method :

  • Steam the spinach until wilted. Squeeze out the excess water when cool enough to handle.
  • Heat the oil and butter in a saute pan. Add the onion and cook for a few minutes or until softened.
  • Add the garlic and cook gently for one more minute or until just cooked but not coloured.
  • Add the spinach and tomatoes, spices and seasoning. Stir-fry for 5 minutes, without adding any water.
  • Finish with the dill and lemon juice, and serve.


  • 5000 grams baby spinach, washed
  • 50 grams baby tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 6 fat garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • Lemon juice, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
