EGG YOLK AND WINE DESSERT

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the egg yolks and sugar in the top of a double boiler and beat for 1 minute.
  • Set over low heat so the water does not boil and whisk until the mixture begins to thicken - about 3 minutes.
  • Add the Marsala and whisk until thick and pale in color then add finely grated lemon zest.
  • Continue whisking the mixture until it doubles for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Rinse the serving glasses with warm water , then Pour the mixture into glasses and serve immediately with sponge fingers.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Marsala 
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
