CLASSIC TOMATO PIZZA

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat up the Olive Oil in a large saucepan, add the Onions and the Garlic and sauté for 3 minutes.
  • Now add the Tomatoes and the Vinegar and season it with Salt and Pepper. Increase the heat and let all the ingredients simmer until the content has reduced by half to make a thick and rich Tomato Sauce.
  • Now put the Pizza Bases on warmed baking sheets, spoon the Tomato Sauce over and spread it all the way to the edge of the Bases with the back of the spoon.
  • Now arrange the anchovies on the Pizzas and sprinkle with the Olives and the Capers and then finally add the Mozzarella.
  • Put the Pizzas in a preheated oven at 230 degrees Celsius (450 Fahrenheit) and let it cook for 10 minutes until it's golden, crisp and sizzling.
  • Take out the Pizzas from the oven.

INGREDIENTS

  • Quick Pizza Base 
  • 6 Tablespoons of Cooking oil
  • 4 Finely sliced Red Onions
  • 4 Crushed Garlic Cloves
  • 1.5 kg of Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Teaspoons of Red Wine Vinegar
  • 16 Anchovy Fillets cut into thin lengths
  • 4 Tablespoons of Pitted Black Olives
  • 2 Tablespoons of Capers
  • 500 Grams of sliced Mozzarella Cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
