ANMITSU

Preparation Method :

  • Soak agar-agar in water for 1 hour.
  • Squeeze and cut the agar-agar into small pieces.
  • Heat water in a pan.
  • Add squeezed agar-agar and sugar in the pan and bring it to boil. Simmer for 8-10 minutes until the agar-agar is dissolved completely.
  • Filter it in a flat container and allow it cool for setting of the jelly.
  • Now prepare the syrup by heating together sugar and water in a sauce pan until the sugar dissolves completely and then add the lemon juice.
  • Cut agar-agar(kanten) jelly into small cubes.
  • Arrange the kanten jelly and slices of peaches and oranges in a serving bowls.
  • Pour the syrup and then top it up with the anko paste.
  • Serve it immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • Kanten jelly
  • ¼ stick kanten (agar-agar)
  • 3 Tablespoon sugar
  • 150 ml water

Syrup

  • 30 ml water
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon juice

Toppings

  • 50 grams anko paste (sweet bean paste)
  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • 1 orange
