MEAT AND POTATO STEW

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pot, stir-fry beef and onion for 2 minutes. Drain potatoes and add to pot. Mix well and stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Pour in just enough water to cover ingredients in pot. Bring to the boil for 2 minutes. Add seasoning, then reduce to medium heat to simmer.
  • Skim off any foam on the surface, cover partially and continue to simmer for half an hour or until potatoes are cooked. Add peas and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 potatoes, peeled, diced and soaked
  • 50 grams frozen green peas, blanched in hot water
  • 250 grams Meat, thinly sliced
  • 15 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 brown onion, large, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Water

Seasoning

  • 4 teaspoon sake    
  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
